Riviera Blue RSR-Inspired 1982 Porsche 911SC Coupe
This 1982 Porsche 911SC is a backdated RSR-style example that was acquired by the seller one year ago. The previous owner was the lead mechanic at Black Forest Automotive of San Diego, California and performed the comprehensive build. Work included a longhood conversion and welding on steel fender flares before a bare metal repaint. A custom fuel filler, sunroof delete panel, and ducktail were also installed along with 930 calipers and master cylinder, Bilstein shocks, Braid wheels, and much more. The flat-six comes from a 964 and produces 328 horsepower at the rear wheels. It was rebuilt with Mahle 3.8L pistons and cylinders, a cross-drilled crankshaft, ported heads, B&B exhaust, and more. The 915 transaxle was rebuilt and is equipped with a limited-slip differential. Since the build was completed, the car has been shown at Gordon McCalls 26th Motorworks Revival and the Werks Reunion during the 2017 Monterey Car Week, where it was awarded a Corporate Sponsor Award. This 911SC passed California smog testing in January 2017 and is now being offered with extensive restoration records and photographs, some older service records and registration cards, a Porsche CoA, and a clean California title in the name of the seller’s wife.
